The genre is not "stagnant" at all like you guys like to claim, it just doesn't get alot of attention imo.

Crippled Black Phoenix are by a margin the best third wave band because of their prog and blues rock elements and use of vocals.
From instrumental, the best bands are russian Circles and Toundra because they have some tight drumming and swet grooves.
shels are nice, but their first album was better

2014 was actually a great year for post-rock with Kairon;Irse, Solstafir, Jakob, Swans, Silver Mt. Zion and Crippled Black Phoenix, but this year doesn't have much.

I do like it when there's more effort to it than in your typical GIAA or ITTCT. I even like EITS because they have raw expression as opposed to half-assed EITS copycats that stagnate the scene.
