Do you guys remember the old days when no one liked hiphop except for poor people with no education?
I miss those days. We have so many rap discussions on here that it's not even worth trying to discuss anymore. We have people here who unironically think that young thug is a unique individual just because he raps weird and wears women clothing.
I don't know how much longer I can deal guys. I hope this is a huge ruse.
>Inb4 "LE ROCKIST" meme
I like a lot more than rock
>Inb4 "LEWRONGENERATION"
I love a lot of new music
>Inb4 racist
I love a lot of black music. Jazz and soul are great. (and inb4 "that doesnt' mean you're not racist". i'm not. i hate white rappers too.)
>Inb4 "You're just not progressive enough"
I feel sorry for you if you think you have to listen to substance-less music to be progressive.
Stfu up about young thug he's the next big thing and u don't even know it

What's stopping me from stealing someone's riff and then putting it in a constant loop and I just reverb the fuck out of it and feed it plugins until it sounds like popcorn in the microwave and then I just record myself screaming and layer it 3 minutes in and finish "my song" and then I photoshop a picture of wooden baby blocks next to a pyramid and slap a name on it like "nutseed library" and then I keep doing this until you faggots find my shit and start eating it up

Sounds pretty interesting actually. Dont forget to put the one 15+ minute track of noise, ambience and spoken word of Emmanuel Kants work summed up from a wiki page.
Hmmmm If I remember correctly middle class white kids from the burbs were one of the largest audience's for rap/Hip hop in the 90's.
try Guru's Jazzmatazz or pic related.

1988 (older than you I presume)
>According to Priority Records' calculations, 80% of sales were in the suburbs, beyond the boundaries of black neighborhoods.[24]

Hip hop is probably the only genre of music (that I know of) that is putting out new music for free. I respect that these artists are just trying to get their shit out there. While every other shitty ass Tame Impala cover band charges $18 for their shit.
