Gucci Mane, Lil Durk, Lil Herb, Rondonumbanine.
Gucci Mane is the most insane, he's a scary, big mean motherfucker, his discography is huge and he's very consistent with his bars. Most of his lyrical themes are trapping, making dope, killing niggas, and roasting niggas.
Lil Durk is from the middle of Chiraq; used to be a hitta but now he's at the top. Musically he's more bangers and singing but he talks about hood life quite a bit.
Lil Herb (also Chiraq) is what you're looking for. Best musician and rapper out of these four and his lyrics are about how fucked up the hood life is in Chicago and his struggle to get out.
Rondonumbanine is literally a trigger nigger and his music represents this. He's the weakest musically but he has a few gems, and is the most ghetto nigger.

Gangster rap is not inherently appealing. The gangster is appealing, his endeavors are appealing. The craft is appealing. Thats why actual artists took that persona and adapted it. If you want "real ganster rap" you can find it anywhere, every major urban city has a slew of real lowlifes who are trying to use rap music as a potential alternative to make money and stop dealing with the shit that comes with banging and trapping.
