I haven't hung around in bandcamp threads for a while, but it seems like there's more jerks here than there used to be. It's a shame because these threads always used to be actually filled with genuninely enjoyable people. Let's be real - we're all trying to shill our own music, but sometimes you come across someone else's music that you enjoy, and that's cool too. If some people don't want to participate, then that's fine and I'm not about to attack you, but I do recommend that you check out other people's music. There's sometimes some really cool stuff in these threads.

thanks, and I'm actually bad with vocal mixing. It's funny you should say that. A long time ago, my friend said I had the vocals too quiet and I think I overreacted. I can never find a good balance though that lets the melody shine through but also doesn't bury the instrumentals

to be fair, people aren't necessarily reviewing these, rather recommending what they like and giving a bit of insight on to what they liked. If there's no negative reviews it's because people just aren't talking about the pages that they didn't like. Admittedly there's not as much constructive criticism as there could be, but straight up "this sucks" reviews aren't really needed and a lot of people just don't waste their time on listening to music that they don't like.
