waaaaah I'm on a music board and I like being a snob about my tastes in unrelated threads. Your boring slowed-down 80's electro gets 20 threads a day anyway, take your shit somewhere else.

not into techno and very much into punk. I just think Johnny Hobo is everything wrong with the folk-punk genre. Whiny white kids pretending to live some train hopping fantasy and it sounds awful.

I am 18. And except for homeless people, isn't everyone living at home?
I won't say bosses are bad, but politicians are pretty evil and most police are too. And all police are upholding an unjust system that restricts our freedom.
I wouldn't go as far to say I believe in anarchy, but I would describe myself as a libertarian.

Can't we just have a general sharethread without it having some theme? I don't mind punk, but geez, why can't we have a regular sharethread? Is everyone just so sick of people requesting /mu/core and spamming djentcore that they don't want to bother with it? The last (non-shit edition) one was over the weekend, and it wasn't bad at all.

Why can't we have our punk share thread? You can still have your general share thread. Go make one. I bet it'll be shitty no matter what you do anyways.
>>
>>60734037
There was a somewhat general sharethread already and there usually is one. I don't listen to much outside of punk and indie rock, I was just looking for a thread of my own tastes. I don't really see many punk threads around here.

Nope. I don't have those kind of leftist views. I don't acknowledge cultural apropriation as a thing.

What do my views on police have to do with my views on cultural oppropriation?

I do not view police like that because they are killing niggers, I view police like that because they uphold laws that limit freedom. Like arresting drug users/sellers for example. Using drugs only hurts the user, so it makes zero sense to outlaw it. To outlaw it even though the people are only harming themselves is to take away a choice and limit our personal freedom.

>To outlaw it even though the people are only harming themselves is to take away a choice and limit our personal freedom.

You clearly have absolutely ZERO basis to be forming any opinion on why drugs should be legal or illegal lmfao so ignorant.
>>
>>60734799
Drugs are illegal for money reasons under the guise of keeping us safe and healthy.
>>
>>60734817

Drugs are illegal because they cause mayhem, destroy communities, families, and people.
>>
>>60734817
Drugs have been illegal in the US because we've been funding an endless cartel war(and cashing in on both sides)... that keeps things nice and shitty for our southern american countries while making uninformed Americans complacent and docile. Prohibition has shown to have a negative impact on public health in many countries, yet the US prohibits everything under a blanket statement of "they're bad, m'kay." Sheer ignorance and purposeful avoidance of a huge population that's withering away without proper rehabilitation; A population that get's no respect from the fear-mongering idiot flyovers.
>>
>>60734860
It is not the government's job to prevent that. People deserve to have the choice. If you think it should be illegal for that reason, you are part of the problem.

>Leftist kek detected.

The government is here to govern. That entails protecting the people from harm and self-harm. Drug dealers solely profit on the destruction and misery of others. You clearly have not known a drug addict in your life. Pure ignorant leftist shill. Go vote for Sanders you uneducated fuck.
>>
>>60735024
The left, and especially sanders, are the exact opposite of my beliefs. The left calls for more government, I call for less. The government's sole purpose is to run the country and represent us, not watch over us wagging their finger saying "no no no" every time we may hurt ourselves. "We're going to protect you from ruining your life by ruining your life"

Since you believe drugs should he illegal, would it be safe to assume that you also believe tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy foods should be illegal too? For our safety of course.
>>
>>60735078

Oh you're one of those State of Jefferson idiots. No use in conversing with someone this delusional.
>>
>>60735114
Right, believing in freedom and personal responsibility is delusional. Stay ignorant.
>>
>>60735078
You're a total libertarian shill, lol
>>
>>60735159
I already said I am a Libertarian.
>>
>>60735200
You don't know shit about international politics if you think libertarianism has a place in the future. Blinded by your simplicity.
>>
>>60735346
Because sticking with the "You're either Democrat it republican" system had worked so well thus far.
>>
>>60735435
*Democrat or republican
>>
>>60735435
Ohhh, so that's your fallback. We should just let the government dissolve into more of a self-serving business than it already is under the guise of libertarianism because the bi-partisan system is inherently futile? Libertarian candidate exist merely to give people like you solace, not because they suspect to win.
>>
>>60735583
How would it be self serving?
Under libertarianism we would have a tiny government with extremely limited power.
The most basic beliefs of libertarianism are personal responsibility, a free market, limited laws (everything that isn't harming others would be legal), telling people what to do with their own bodies (i.e. abortion) would be out of the question and property rights. Libertarianism is the other government system that can prevent corruption and is actually for the people and pro freedom. You clearly have not done your research.

>>60735672
Self serving as in the free market is self serving. The people who own Rand Paul do so with the intent to stealthily shift regulations, not represent citizens. You may have done a lot of research into one optimistic subject but your lack of scope is hugely apparent.
>>
>>60735879
I do not support Rand Paul. He is part of the establishment. The only regulations I believe in are anti monopoly regulations and things like the FDA that prevent unsafe products from getting into the market.

This is all elaborate bait right? Surely no one could make the statement that the govt should stay out our lives and not regulate the food, drink, and drugs we consume...except the fda of course
>>
>>60736842
People know the risks of drugs and the harm they do. They however do not know if some company decides to make food with poison in it. There is a difference.
>>
>>60733935
You realise Pat is self aware enough that this is supposed to be slightly tongue in cheek right?

Do most Americans have no idea how to understand subtle humour and self deprecation?

Gee I'm sure glad you introduced me to this great new punk share
>>
>>60737069

>>
>>60737134
There's nothing to share; this thread is just a debate between the OP and a few baiters who are laughing their heads off at him right now. Any actual shares would get buried by that, since it's become the real main topic of this thread.
>>
>>60737134
Isn't that a bit like asking me if I ought to make a better movie than the awful one I just watched? It's a logical fallacy. Tu quoque I think. It's shifting the topic.
>>
>>60736934
>The FDA
Which is also tied in with conglomerates. Who woulda thought!? Lol, can't believe you're the guy telling me to do my research.
>People know the risks
So we should just let impoverished folk figure everything out for their underprivileged selves? They should just know better, right?
Sorry, but no, that's not how sociology works. There needs to be outreach and rehabilitation, rather than sticking our heads in the libertarian sand.
>>
>>60737251
Because we can't reform things, right?

There is a difference between offering rehab and outlawing something sending the users to prison. How is sending them to prison helping anyone? And there is no underprivileged people that don't know the risks. Everyone knows drugs are bad for you.

We can legalize them and offer rehabilitation at the same time. I personally agree with Jessie ventura in that harder drugs should only be sold at doctors offices so that you can get the freedom but also be lectured by a doctor first. I do not think it is right to take away someone's choice and freedom because it may ruin someone's life or even a community. Personal responsibility, everyone else should not be punished (having the freedom to make your own choice) because a few people have their own lives ruined. It is time to legalize drugs and end the drugs war. "The war on drugs is a war on people"

I also do not think it is fair to say drugs should be illegal, but let everything else that's bad be legal. Alcohol also can ruin lives and tear families apart. People driving drunk kill whole families all the time, that is where a lot of deaths come from. Yet I see no one pushing to outlaw it.

Aside from the conspiracy theories, ventura is very smart. He'd make a good president, wish he would run. Once he got in and confirmed that most of the conspiracies were fake, he would do some good work for this country.
