Who would have thought in the 70s that David Bowie would be the one to release the SOTY (Song Of The Year) in 2015?
Also, it's the year 2015 and people are excited for a NEW Bowie album. How crazy is that, huh?
pretty crazy but blackstar is mediocre at best
Sue is fucking awesome

>blackstar is mediocre at best
bad meme
>>60730590
pretty crazy and blackstar is GOAT at least
>>60730626
deal with it
sue trounces the fuck out of blackstar
>>60730590
if the album lives up to the hype I'll be genuinely happy

I honestly didn't think he had another good song or (potentially, hopefully?) good album in him. It's the first thing by him in a long time I haven't been bored out of my mind by. But this one certainly has to be the last at least good one before he passes.

We already know 2/7 of it and that sounds pretty good thus far, so it might be really good.

>>60730626
>>60730632
they're both great shut up
Now for the discussion: Do you guys think that "Blackstar" (the song) is about ISIS as some people state (including Bowie's close associate)? I don't know if that would make the song worse or even better.

It's really not that great. Just sounds like something he woul pull out of his arse for a lynch film with a bunch of producers helping him out.

David Bowie, David Lynch and David Fincher are the same person, just like Homer.
Robert Jones does it again.
>>60730754
We know 3/7, but yeah, that's a lot considering it's 19.5 minutes of material. We have 22.5 more minutes to hear and then rate.
>all these people calling it mediocre
How?
>>60730890
if it had not more than 10.000 views people would call it genius.
>>60730778
>shut up
all year long bitch
He wouldn't have
>>60730754
When it's good it's really good
which is better?
blackstar part 1 or blackstar part 2
>>60730984
that's so cute
>>60731107
Part 2 obvs

I understand both Sue and 'This Pity will appear in a different version on the album.
I'm actually hyped for Blackstar, I enjoyed The Next Day but I like more the experimental side of Bowie and this could turn out to be a gem.
Love the short running time around 45 minutes, gives the album a chance to be a really tight concept without fillers.
