Where do you stand in the Pyramid of Taste?
>>
I've enjoyed artists from each level but I and III have my favorite styles.
>>
>>60713269
The higher I got is III with free jazz and furniture music. Baroque pop should be one step higher. I mean, it's actually lower than New Wave (?!) and all kinds of rock.

I didn't find post punk, dodecaphony or dadaism, ony serialism.
>>
What's stopping me from stealing someone's riff and then putting it in a constant loop and I just reverb the fuck out of it and feed it plugins until it sounds like popcorn in the microwave and then I just record myself screaming and layer it 3 minutes in and finish "my song" and then I photoshop a picture of wooden baby blocks next to a pyramid and slap a name on it like "nutseed library" and then I keep doing this until you faggots find my shit and start eating it up

you're not japanese
>>
this image has nothing to do with taste, it is just genres organised by obscurity

>Baroque pop should be one step higher
Nope.
>I mean, it's actually lower than New Wave (?!) and all kinds of rock.
Where it belongs.

I don't see how Black Rainbow by St. Vincent is lower than The Killers

the ultimate purpose of this image is to get replies

primarily type-III with smatterings of type II and I
>>60713654
more obscure=more better, duh
>>
>>60713705
>actually having a semantic argument about the validity of this chart
>>
>>60713698
who is this even trying to bait
>>
>>60713698
this is a very poorly / lazily made image, put more effort next time
>>
>>60713721
No, its intended for exploration, not obscure=better
>>
>>60713599

maybe you should do more of your wacky ideas and complain less
>>
>>60713698
This is the worst attempt at bait I've ever seen.

kill yourself
>>60713705
>waifufag thinks he has any taste
>>
>>60713705
Yep, you're correct, one single artist absolutely defines the entire genre span and can be used to dismiss anything related to said genres.

Can you see how Panic! at the Disco would be lower than Talking Heads?
>>
>>60713269
type 3 tbqh
all of the lower ones are great too tbqh

the ones on the top aren't even genres, they're very specific approaches to musical compositions

Can someone give examples of type v music
>>
>>60713794
Panic At The Disco not being Art Pop and Talking Head's best work (Remain in Light) being Post Punk and less dance-ish.

I guess the fault is on the term Baroque Pop. I think of Art Pop when I say it but it mustn't be the same thing.

Go for it, but radical or difficult doesn't mean automatically good.
