Those vocals are annoyingly hard to listen too
I'd recommend mixing up the vocal track

Otherwise decent, doesn't sound too professional, but idk, because it actually doesn't really meet my taste

released my first full length album on Halloween, it's full of noise rock, but it also includes drone metal/ambient/instrumental hip hop tracks thrown in for variety. The free download also comes with some liner notes I made.

i listened to glowing birds. it's pretty decent. i can't say i thought the instrumentals were anything special, but i did enjoy the vocals, however i feel they're a bit too quiet.
>>60707285
i only listened to most of the first track because im pressed for time, but i enjoyed it for the most part. i felt the drumming was a little off in terms of timing but that may just be me. Other than that i thought the drumming was exciting and energetic and the guitar/electronics work together really well. i like the atmosphere you can create
>>60708055
please tell me that album art is a place holder. in regards to your music: i actually enjoyed it. I'm not usually a fan of indie rock and though i can't say your music is anything unique or particularly exemplary, it's a solid start and a fun listen. keep working at it, my friend

>ALSO
has anyone in these threads tried to get some anons together to work on a project? I'd be super down to work on something besides my personal projects and some of you faggots seem pretty cool and/or talented.
>>
>>60707339
Mood is something you manage really well. That 8-bitish sound is maybe not the most unique in the world but it is certainly handled very well by you. Xille is indeed the best one. Mostly because it's more focused on building dense atmosphere. At least I see it like that. Either way, cool stuff! And by God, change that BC page. Too much pink! Way too much!

>>60707343
The best kind of generic as there can be. It's nothing new for sure, sounds pretty simple and really repetitive. But you've managed to get me listening. It has that post-punky feel but it's nothing to stand on your own. Experiment a bit with the sounds you create. Because this is just too... generic, you know? But it's good.

>>60707487
Witam rodaka! I'm not a big fan of noise but this one is pretty, um, boring. Yeah, boring. I mean each song have a different idea and that's fine but I just can't see much progression in your noise outside of that. Tracks are really monotone and bland. Also, you don't change a thing if it comes to noise/harsh noise aesthetics. It feels like I've heard this before, somewhere, somehow. Maybe next time try to improve on an idea, shape it in a way you want to and, for a love of God, don't be bland.

Looking for honesty here. Haven't had much inspiration all year so I just threw together this EP of a few different throwaways. Generally no coherent theme to this EP so if I could get some opinions on which direction to take my music based on what you hear here that would be great.

If you think it is shit that is fine, at least tell me why though, same for if you like it. I need direction.
>>
>>60708055
Change cover x2. I like this track; there is a nice progression in it, it feels tight and the vocals are quite nice. But try to mix them a bit lower next time. They feel too loud in some places. Yeah, it's nice, keep it up guys!

>>60708580
Ok, honest opinion time. It might be long and I'll probably write this while I'm listening to your EP. First of all - I'm not a fan of chillwave or any kind of that subgenre of electronic music so I won't be a 100% reliable source. But if you're making music there is always a change somebody with no contact to chillwave will listen you your stuff. So let me try to explain what is good and what is bad about this EP.
I like the aesthetics. It's really comfy and the mood is really gorgeous. The beats are constructed really smoothly, they don't kick around each other, all layers of the particular tracks are well put together and really nicely mixed. Pool Party feels the most smooth out of all of them. Really nice mix, importantly you are handling really well the part of repetition and progression which is quite hard (I just know from my perspective lol).
However, I've heard that before. What's new here? Why should I listen to you if there are a number of videos on Youtube of chillwave music just like yours? There is no PEDEXTRIAN element in there. There is no element which differs you from others. A real shame. Think about it because your music, even it if would be great, will be lost next to x number of other musicians making the same sounds like you. Otherwise, the EP is a blast to listen to.

I really appreciate the feedback and I completely agree. I haven't found what makes my music mine yet. For the past year I have spent hours at a time trying to write something that was both unique and I liked and have gave up in frustration every time. I plan to keep trying until something works but for now I dropped these throwaways on an EP to keep my project floating. It had been over a year since I had last released music.

I want to stop hearing "this is really good to study too" or "great background music" when I share with people, and I have to push my creative boundaries if I ever want to wow.

Good first attempt, production sounds kinda empty, and the song, being very simple, gets kinda tedious, I don't know, maybe you could try a wall of sound approach next time if you have any better recording equipment. If you want to keep it lo-fi, I would suggest to use a cleaner guitar sound. Lol, I don't know what I'm talking about, I record with shit equipment and use shit programs.

this was way weirder than I excepted it to be. It's great but second song onwards were a surprise. Plus, I've never heard of a thing called Satan be so positive
>>
I'm going to attempt to revive this dead as fuck thread and encourage some discussion:

What are some non-/mu/tant gems you've found on bandcamp? What do you like about them?

How do you feel about artists who charge a minimum amount for their works vs artists who do name your price?

How likely are you to donate money to a name your price project?
>>
>>60708397
Damn, forgot to recc you in my post.

Everyone, listen to more Epiglottis!
>>
>>60712836
Small artists who charge money are fuckin stupid

The people who were gonna hit the zero option aren't just gonna submit and say "ah fuck, whatever dude I guess I'll buy it gosh", they're gonna close that shit and you're gonna lose a good 75% of your potential audience.
Plus these people are all like "lole piracy is devaluing musig :DDDD", expecting people to value their low bitrate file of music as much as they would say, a vinyl copy.

It's like a photographer charging the same amount of money for a high res jpeg of their photo as they would for a canvas print.
>>
>>60714007
High Res Digital Images go for a hell of a lot of money. I know that isn't really the point you're making but that comparison doesn't really work. If I had a choice of a digital copy or a vinyl for the same price, I'd go digital every time really
