A good label will help you get on tours, pay for PR, get records and cds to you. basically a bank that you take loans from. if you can front all the costs (you cant) then theres no point in being on a label. Just get a good booking agent. Even managers are scum that want your money. however all those people are helpful if you're like me and want to be left alone not sending emails and stupid shit when you're at home.

Opened for brand new, Modern Baseball, TBS, Kevin Devine, Now Now all very nice people, nothing bad to say about them. Also Manchester Orchestra is nice. Most everyone I've met is honestly great and reasonably people. Everyones just tired and want to go home. really? I always felt like i have nothing but downtime. Like its always driving, load in, wait to play (sit around if theres a green room, eat food, play on my computer), play, load out, drive, sleep. I guess you could try getting into stuff and try to have fun but its not like venues are ever in areas that are near a lot of cool stuff. i mean sometimes they are but even then actually making the effort to go do something at all is just too much sometimes. plus i dont feel like ubering everywhere because im poor ish.
