It's the pinnacle of everything they set out to achieve. The band themselves even admitted that they pretty much had to start from scratch afterwards because Daydream Nation was so much of a final statement. It's one of the most refined, expansive and affecting albums in the entire popular music canon. I give it a 9.5/10, close to perfect.
