I'm not entirely sure. I only gave it one listen and made it a 4/10, so maybe it grows on you. Don't rule out an album until you give it a few tries and are with an open mind.

First band I fan-girled and without any prior knowledge of anybody elses' opinion, they could've had less than 100 fans, I wouldn't give a shit. I spent a good amount of my teenage life worshipping these sounds.
I'm not a good representative of /mu/ but Demon Days isn't trash, friend.
You likely feel this way because of the /mu/vement towards a similar enjoyment of music, where albums will basically be brainwashed into your head that they are NOT bad, forcing /mu/fags to enjoy them somehow. I feel this way towards Swans or Neutral Milk Hotel.
