Ladytron are one of the more anemic, lower tier synthpop bands I can think of. iamamiwhoami and Xeno & Oaklander are two artists that spring to mind that do it infinitely better. Hell even Goldfrapp are better.

Bullshit. iamamiwhoami and Xeno & Oaklander wish they were as good as Ladytron. They barely have 2-3 memorable tunes, while Ladytron have tons of great songs. Goldfrapp are great but they also managed to make some mediocre music.

Are you sure that you listened to their music? You must be deaf if their music sounds anemic to you. Songs like High Rise, Blue Jeans, Fighting in Built Up Areas, I'm Not Scared are incredibly dynamic.
