Are CDs a dead format yet, or is the market for them still large enough to be sustained?

No its not a dead format. They're people still buying these ancient format just like pretentious hipster purchasing shitty muddy vinyls
It doesn't seem to be very sustaining for some bands but some get by. I still buy cd's and it sucks that so many bands don't even make them anymore and instead just offer digital downloads which I don't do.

>no cd format
>offers vinyl and cassette instead
I hate those fags

If you want a CD so bad why can't you buy the album and just burn one? I don't see the point of them unless you need to use them in your car.
>>60659162
Its just collection, if there's none, there's none. I just like having them released from an official source.
>>60658821
They still sell far more copies then vinyl and tapes overall.
CDs are still the most popular form of physical music. The market for them will never really die out completely.
>>60659162
For me my burned CDs stop playing cleanly after a bit
>CD>big black circle
i still buy albums i like
CDs are the idiot-proof choice, you can't really go wrong when it comes to CDs. this is why they will stay the most popular format for some time
>>60658821
I use them to promo my music. A local bar owner said it'd be fine if I left a small box near the entrance for people to just take so I'm gonna start doing that
