Well there are some really great obscure albums out there. Many people overplay the "obscurity" factor IMO. I mean, I've heard some albums that had like 2 ratings on RYM that blew me away, and others that underwhelmed me. In the end, you listen to music for the music, and to say everyone listens to more esoteric or obscure stuff for the sake of image is highly unfair IMO
