I really can't get into suffocation, their singer just doesn't work for me and their drumming, not sure if it's triggered of if they just sound sampled everything but it sounds so boring and robot-y, more so than most other trigger abusing drummers normally do.

Random question: is there a difference between death metal and black metal? I recently go into black metal and am really enjoying it.
Also, is Evanescence really death metal? I mean, I'll listen to Hello on a rainy day and pretend I'm in a shitty music video, but I really don't consider them metal, though I certainly hear the influence.
