I bet you most of the people who criticize it have listened to it maybe 1 time through, if that.
Listen to it 3 or 4 times if you have the balls for it, and notice how quickly the disorganized mess starts to organize itself. Familiarity with the music will create the sense of anticipation that babby so dearly needs to enjoy his music. You'll find memorable moments all over the album and those will make it sound great, when you "just can't wait" to hear that breakdown on track 12 or whatever.
For me its the end that does it. Veteran's Day Poppy leaves me feeling like a washed up degenerate, and it's great.
