Instrumentally it was very much influenced by club music. The use of samples/sampling are very reminiscent of house - Frankie Knuckles has been namedropped a lot, but I hear some Larry Heard, Moodymann, and Theo Parrish as well. Also some of the aesthetics of Detroit techno are there - obv there is no 303 present, but there is a huge Gerald Donald presence there, there watery landscape certainly recall Drexciya. Speaking of the wateryness, you can't discount Chain Reaction, ~scape, Kompakt, and Mille Plateaux.

I don't know about that, considering Panda originally wrote the song for guitar, but it's possible (and a really neat way to go about it).
Another thing they usually miss out on is the heavy hip-hop element. Everyone focused on the Brian Wilson aspect of Grim Reaper when really the only song like that is Tropic of Cancer. Panda said that GR was his "hip-hop album".

Seriously the most underrated member imo. Most of AnCo's general sound (outside of songwriting) and atmosphere is due to him. Baleen Sample is objectively god tier.

i can tell is those two songs are better than anything on Hz 2bh
but it still feels like zombie anco, of course this isnt fair because they are shitty recordings and everything, but songwriting wise it isnt anything new, kinda sad.
i hope there a more slow songs on the album.
still kinda hyped but my hope isnt that high.
i feel like this album isnt going to be any better than down there or PBVSGR, which is sad, because even tho i like those albums, they dont got shit on anything pre Hz.
