There's a million and one bands that do what Mr. Bungle do on this album
My favorites being Tub Ring, Unexpect and Stolen Babies. Dog Fashion Disco are worth a listen but I think that they are shit and are way to buttrocky.

Why? It's like pop music with no rock and minimal experimentation. It's their safest album. Have you listened to Pink Cigarette? You wouldn't even know that's a Mr. Bungle album other than Patton's singing, and even that's a stretch. I think it's ok but it's not as good as the others, and even the other two are only good and nothing exceptional.

I agree that it's their safest, Retrovertigo and Pink Cigarette are starting to bore me. However, you still have songs like Goodbye Sober Day and Ars Moriendi (not sure if that's spelled correctly)

I also think it's not that good of an album because it has more of Patton's involvement in it. The poor transitions seen in Goodbye Sober Day just make up for a poor excuse of Experimental rock.

Yeah, there was a book I read about what happened. Trey basically said that Mike was being a bit of a dictator and Trey eventually got tired of it and stood up for himself, then they fell out. They're on good terms now but that might only be because there's a lot of distance between them .
Mushroomhead's first album is a lot like mr bungle's s/t and it is extremely underrated and very good
