I think they're okay, had great albums in the first half of their career, but laughably terrible albums in the second.
It's a musical confession for me on this shit board, but Onigiri of Symmetry is a 10/10 for me. Solid Prog-Metal.

I still love their first 4 albums and I think The Resistance is decent.

Same here. I was obsessed with Muse when I was in high school until I started listening to Radiohead, which absorbed me for a good amount of time.
Much better than the last three albums.

It's one of my top 5 favorite albums. It and Absolution are incredible records. The comparisons with radiohead frankly don't make sense to me. Sure radiohead may be a better band but muse is really good in their own right. Unfortunately unlike Radiohead, Muse's recent albums are horse shit. The Resistance was their last half decent effort. Still, OoS, Absolution, BHaR, and even Showbiz are all great albums.
I think it was enjoyable
The only people who will hate on this will be Radiohead butthurt fans and kids trying too hard to fit in. It's a very good album, at least 9/10.

Anyone mind actually explaining the whole radiohead thing to me? I've listened both Bands discography thoroughly and seem them both live. I just don't see it at all

great album for 2001 (and if you were a teenager at the time)
on top of the pretty high musical quality and good production, I have good memories of hanging out with friends and listening to this. Also learned a few songs on guitar. Micro cuts was a favorite for playing. Love the almost baroque chord progressions, but matt's voice gets annoying after a while.

Their first album is better in my opinion. Most things after origin of symmetry are shit though. Origin of symmetry is a solid 6.5/10.
