I'm a huge Floyd fan but I'm not sure I can pick a favorite album. I think Animals is their best, and Echoes is their best song (and my absolute favorite song) but I'm on a week to week basis shifting between their albums over and over. All of it's just great.
But I guess if I had to pick a favorite right at this moment, it would be Animals.

I figure my opinion is pretty typical among Floyd fans. My one opinion I figure alienates me a bit is that I don't idolized Gilmour so much. I love Roger a lot more. Yeah, he did some really crappy stuff to the band during the wall, but he was Pink Floyd's voice after Barrett.

kek. I'm a big rodger fan too. His recent interview with rollingstone is brilliant http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/roger-waters-on-the-wall-socialism-and-his-next-concept-album-20151102

I know its not their "best" album but meddle just stuck with me. Echoes is arguably their best song besides Shine on you crazy diamond and Dogs in my opinion, Piper is great too.

Good interview. Roger Waters' The Wall is supposed to be out on Spotify soon, can't wait for that. Saw the film in theaters and it was my favorite experience of the wall I have experienced. The first note on in the flesh is so strong on a real sound system.

To be fair, Meddle is pretty good. One of these days is really great, pillow of winds is interesting, fearless is great, don't care too much about Tropez, don't like Seamus, and Echoes is (I think) one of the greatest songs by any band. So a pretty good album. And a clear lead into their work on Dark Side.
Popular choice, I know, but it's so cinematic how can anyone not love it

I really wanted to see the film. Looked great! Have you caught him on tour? My dad and I went and saw Roger perform the Wall back in 2010. It was a beautiful experience
