This album sucks, and the band stopped having any relevancy after Meddle. Actually, they should've just packed it in after Syd's departure. Yeah, I said it. I don't care if I sound like the millions of people who go on about Syd being a genius. (He wasn't BTW. It's just the band was better with him)
If I want to hear about life, death, greed, conflict, war, avarice, and nervous breakdowns, I'll listen to Steely Dan. What Pink Floyd does with one album, Steely Dan can sum it all up in a five minute song.
