Post your fav album
Name one flaw in said album
Nothing like >it ended!
Fav album = pic related
> it has some weak songs like shit luck
Also this album came out today, 18 years ago
>in limbo is clearly the weakest track. It's still good though.
>>60456111
shit luck's great
>>60456261
meme
>julians vocals would sound better clean on some songs like soma
i mean this is like one of my top 5 fav albums, i hate schooling the others out but i guess it rlly doesnt matter.
and when i listen to shit luck, i cant help but think of 9/11 and the titanic...good song though. great album
>>60456111
it's not Interstate 8
>>60456111
i'm apparently just as old as LCW
cool
The tracklisting. The actual album is perfect, but optimized when you get the right versions of the songs in a perfectly constructed 16-song tracklist including the outtakes (which I have)
unfortunately this is not the case and I think I've perfected the tracklist for the most perfect album ever made (imo obviously)
Dean's vocals can be grating on a couple of tracks
>some songs really aren't that memorable
I can't find a flaw in my actual favourite album so I'll go with this one
>The opening track is so fucking beautiful that it overshadows the rest of the album
>>60456299
and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
>>60456261
you're living in a fantasyy......
>it ended!

even alvin

Only good album itt
Why is this indie hipster central?
I don't really know what my favorite album is. I guess pic related would be a contender.
I guess a flaw would be that it has a quite a few filler songs, that are almost all forgettable and pointless.
>>60456111
The second half of the album can't really compare to the first at all, with the only memorable songs being Shit Luck, Styrofoam Boots, and maybe Trucker's Atlas. (not counting trailer trash in the 2nd half)
>>60456261
It was pretty good, but nowhere near the amount of feedback it's been getting. Also has some forgettable songs.
>>60456376
Huh, I can't think of anything. I guess it would have to be the track placing of Moonshake in-between Bel-Air and Spray, but even then I'm used to that placing by now.
>>60456412
>hurr durr le experimental krautrock is the only good album ITT
fuck off tryhard
>>60456314
The Spiderbite Song is literally the worst song ever
>>60456431
It's not as if Future Days is really experimental, have you even heard it? It's just far better than anything here and very original and ahead of its time
>>60456439
why
do you even know what it's about
>>60456443
yeah, it's probably my favourite Can album - doesn't mean you have to act a prick
>>60456457
I'm not, it's just there's very little of merit in the albums above. Kid A's pretty good but The Strokes and Modest Mouse and in danger of curing me of insomnia
>>60456471
why what's so bad about them?
TLCW is a pretty good western-feel post-hardcore with fantastic lyrics album
Strokes is just hook laden garage rock fun?
>>60456471
>likes strokes and mm
>must be hipster fags
thats like....you're opinion, man
Bamp
>>60456299
Same
>>60456360
the most beautiful woman in the wooooorrrlllldd
>>60456261
Awww man, In Limbo's one of my favorite tracks.
My one complaint about this album is that there is some noticeable clipping on the keyboard in the quieter sections of Morning Bell that I don't think was intentional.
some of the songs had uninspired lyrics
The vocals didn't fit the feel of the rest of the instruments.
I really can't come up with a flaw
Would someone help me?
>>60458690
I think that some of the rawer cuts from the complete sessions are better
>>60456346
maybe la rapet is the only little flaw
feels like they kinda phoned in the mixing and mastering
>>60456347
Not the guy you responded to, but ITAOTS came out on my first birthday. kinda special to me :)
>>60456314
what is your perfect tracklist?
just curious
>>60456445
What's it about?
>>60458469
don't listen to this album for the lyrics m8
>>60456291
For me, I think Trying Your Luck, while good, took me more than a few listens to appreciate. It's still not really as good as the rest of the album imo.
>>60456111
the only weak tracks on LCW are long distance drunk and Jesus christ was an only child
>>60456420
what songs on the pod would you consider filler?
>>60462235
I don't know if filler was the right word, but those <2 minute tracks like Boing (which is good), Can U Taste the Waste (which is ok) and Oh My Dear (which isn't so good).
There are also just tracks that I just don't like too much, like Molly and Don't Sweat It.
>>60456111
jesus christ was an only child is really bad but shit luck is just a fun intermission from the fucking sadness on that record
>>60460944
apparently the spiderbite was actually a potentially deadly infection the guitarist from a heroin shootup, but he lied to the band and said that it was a spiderbite out of shame.
>>60456111
>KISS ME JUST LIKE A BEE STIIIIIIIIING
