I went to see Mac Demarco last week and holy shit he is a fucking blast on stage. He is like a fucking kid doing his thing not giving a fuck.

I saw Slipknot when i was 16. It was fucking crazy. I have already moved from my metal stage but i still consider that concert one of the best nights of my life.

There is literally nothing wrong with Mac and he has a good stage presence. It's just him and the band having a blast.
AJJ always puts on a great show, but my absolute favorite was seeing Foxy Shazam right when Introducing came out. It's such a shame they changed their style so much.
Flying Lotus at Sydney Opera House. Amazing venue and sound always helps, but that 3D shit he had going on was ridic. Easily the best audio/visual experience of my life. If you get a chance to see Flylo live, don't pass it up.

I saw chvrches a couple of years ago, first when they did a short set at a record store and then a full show later that night. Meme me all you want but god damn that was a great show and Lavren was a very good warm charismatic frontwoman. Also I got to say hi to her at the record store but unfortunately I didn't get anywhere near her fartbox.
NMH was also a blast. I wasn't even a fan of their music at all until I went to the concert but holy shit once it started it all just clicked for me and it was an amazing experience. Honestly most of the /mu/-core concerts I've been to have been some of the best.

NMH is one that I wanted to see for nearly a decade before I finally was able to. Huge fan, ITAOTS is one of the albums I hold dearest, all memes aside. Was honestly pretty disappointed, but I think part of the problem was that they were at the Hollywood Bowl, which both does not suit them at all, and was filled with people who spend every weekend at the Hollywood Bowl regardless of what band is playing. The people I shared a box with were talking about how shitty the band was afterward.
Seeing Jeff Mangum by himself playing NMH material in an opera house was great, though. Much more intimate.

The most fun I had was at a MBV concert, I was right in the front only a few feet from Kevin Shields.
I wouldve had so much fun at a Danny Brown concert (Trash Talk and Action Bronson opened) but I got a really bad migraine through Bronsons set and by the time Danny Brown got on stage I was sitting against the wall in the back trying not to throw up.

September 17th 2011 I saw the Flaming Lips play and it was the best concert of my life.
Also, if you ever get the chance to see Moon Hooch live, do it. Very entertaining. I've seen them thrice and they never disappoint. They're not big either so it's usually cheap.

Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum were amazing when I saw them a few months ago. Probably the best metal show I've ever been to. The venue was small, the crowd was filled with legitimate fans who wanted to have a good time, and the band played great. The most emotional show for me had to be when I saw Rammstein play in 2010. They're not the greatest band but they'll always have a special place in my heart.

I saw Deafheaven last month. It was incredible. My friend and I were in the very front. George Clarke was screaming right in my face; then I picked him up so he could crows surf.
He got down to the audience a few more times, but that was the best.

I've not really been to a huge amount of gigs (went to my very first one just this past September, and have since been to 5 in total), but I went to see Peter Hook perform both Joy Division albums back to back in October and it was one of the best nights of my life. The whole atmosphere and energy was unreal.
