I'm on my computer all day so I'm listening to music for about 21 hours a day and sleep for 3 hours. I suck at math so I'm just going to say each album lasts a hour, that's 21 albums. Not bad.

Through practice I've been able to condense post-album reflection to 4-5 minutes. I keep notes while listening on a word file I have.
I listen to albums all day at work, so that's like 8-16 depending on the length of each. I mostly stick to albums I already know though, I don't like listening to new albums while I work because I can't focus on the music.

It's not that hard after you've become the master of listening to albums, you have no idea of how fast you can actually listen to album if you master the technique well.. probably in the realm of 10, although there's repeat (I'll usually listen to the same album walking to work as walking back). Used to be more but I changed jobs and have to be in meetings all the time now so listening time got cut down.
my brain is actually more developed than that of the average human so i listen to 10 albums a day at 2x speed, sometimes at 2,5x if i'm feeling cocky.

I can't listen to an album just once and move on. I'd hardly call myself a fan of an artist if I did that.

I listen to half a song a day then spend the rest of it crying about how deep an experience I just had. Also I don't have a what.cd account, but I'm pretty proud of my 100 gb library.

Right, right, that's the point. If you're reading a book in a day or less then you're either speed reading (not really appreciating it) or reading phonics or some shit. Likewise if you listen to a ton of albums a day you're probably not really appreciating or engaging with them, you're probably just like working or whatever while you listen, which is fine but it's not the same as critically listening.

True, but you can listen to an album while you're mentally occupied with something else, which is probably what's happening with people who are saying they listen to 20 albums a day (I mean I guess you could just be a jobless bum who spends their entire day listening to music not doing much else but it seems unlikely).
