ITT: Critics love it, the Internet hates it

not talking about an album means hating it now?
i had no idea critics liked it. I figured they were too busy circle jerking over kenny duck worth's guide to 90's hip hop to acknowledge actual progression in the genre.
Yeezy.

But he's good. And it's not his album.

well he's not terrible but he's not progressive either, nor are his merry crew of weedcarriers that make up his little band

He's literally just a spoken word poet with a decent flow, same as No Name Gypsy. It's the Chicago scene, and some people like their sound. I also think Donnie's production is really good, but I'm a biased musicalfag.

they're all too fresh to be considered one trick ponies at this point. Donnie's mishmashing different pop genres and exposing young artists like raury, dram, joey and noname on his first album. Lyrically chance is becoming more out of the ordinary and he's only two mixtape and an ep deep. Joey is already mastering kendrick's flow and getting lyrical content thats all his own after a few okay mixtapes. The social experiment was barely a thing on acidrap. Sometimes weedcarriers have more potential than you'd expect.
