Even the most popular and well made popular music will be outdated and tacky in 20 years.
Art music is the only music that has a timeless quality.

Off the top of my head. Post 2000s.
>Linkin Park - The Hybrid Theory
>Gorillaz - Demon Days

>Radiohead- Kid A
>The Strokes - Is This It?
>Kanye West - The College Dropout
>Lady GaGa - The Fame
>Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid mAAd City

>Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Outta My Head
>Black Eyed Peas - Where Is the Love?
>Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl
>OutKast - Hey Ya!

>>60347487
One of the best records of the decade
>>60347710
>>Taylor Swift - 1989
Really?
I think a lot of what would make an album discussed in 20 years is if it has things worth discussing or a population capable of discussion. So /mu/'s reputation for being completely devoid of literal discussion leads to people posting a bunch of albums with no discussion. Any album that actually does end up being discussed in 20 years would seem completely by chance according to anyone who primarily used /mu/ for music 'discussion'. Most of us aren't classically educated, the actual 'discussion' that goes on in /classical/ for example is a massive circlejerkfest of pretentious assholes. And /mu/ is far from the worst place for music discussion.
Maybe this is just bitter but I think about this a lot and don't know what to do about it other than to try to be the change.

Taylor Swift is at worst a product of having the weakest pop music era ever but at best is one of the best pop songwriters ever, its one or the other I am not sure. She will be regarded as a top female solo singer, a little like the Loretta Lynn of her time but way more Hollywood.
2010-2020 decade begins and ends with TayTay.

>>60347663
Only good song is Check.
>>60347779
Yung Lean got progressively worse, LUM got progressively better.
>>60348609
Night Ripper feels VERY unfocused much of the time. Feed the Animals is my personal favorite.
>>60348014
>>60348529
:^)
Death Grips will definitely be influential in the next few decades.
>>60348796
How?
Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane are far more influencial to hip hop right now.

Agreed. It opened the doors to a new sonic landscape. Mark my words their second album will be revolutionary.

I think she's a diamond in the rough.
Give her a chance to write about something, anything other than boys, and she could be a legend.
