I have tried and tried to get into Kate Bush. Her sappy, syrupy fucking posh britskank vocals drive me through the fucking roof.
I guess where I got to was that I respect her for what she's done over the years but personally I can't stand her music.

Sappy, syrupy and posh vocals?
Kate Bush's voice can be incredibly angry, forceful and even downright intimidating at times. Also she's one of the few female singers I've heard adopt a thick English regional (London / Kent) accent in some of her songs.
Well, if it's not for you, it's not for you, but I just think the incredible range of styles in which she can sing should be acknowledged.
