Spoken like someone that has no idea how to articulate a critique of a rock song.
It's a perfectly good song. It's more subtle in texture than most of their other songs, and it's not one of my favorites, but it's by no means bad.
Some songs record easily, others go through several different interpretations before a band will settle on one that they deem good enough for the record. Radiohead often wait multiple years to put a song to record (see: Nude, I Will, How to Disappear Completely, and probably Lift).
