I actually find Black Antlers to be some of the weakest later Coil. Not as good at creating that meditative (they'd probably say magickal) atmosphere. But I agree on Time Machines and Musick to Play in the Dark. Maybe a bit pleb of me, but the third is Ape of Naples, with Remote Viewer as a 9/10.

The show that Bowie set up was undoubtedly in sync with the avantgarde, as it fused theater, mime, cinema, visual art, literature and music. However, Bowie merely recycled what had been going on for years in the British underground, in particular what had been popularized by the psychedelic bands of 1967. And he turned it into a commodity: whichever way you look at his oeuvre, this is the real merit of it.

I like Black Antlers better than The Remote Viewer, which I find to be a bit shrill and drawn out in parts. The Restitution Of Decayed Intelligence is more concise and enjoyable for me anyway.
Black Antlers takes a little while to click, but then you realize it's their last proper studio album, and that it's a masterpiece.
It appears to have some weak tracks when you first listen to it, but it's actually just a nice overall pacing.
