Personally I think his production is pretty fantastic, I can't say I'm deep enough to listen to every lyric and read deeper into it, but the song you're referring to, "Marvin's Room," is actually one of my favorites. The beat is good, I like the flow and I just think it's a good song, yeah it's immature and is hard to take seriously if you read deeper into the lyrics, but I simply don't. Of course! You're completely correct, I wish I could be deeper and listen to every lyric and try to understand what good music feels like, but I'm not listening to Top 40, or anything, but simply put, if a song has a nice beat that I like (mostly R&B and Rap) then I'm most likely gonna like the song and not read that deeper into it. Sometimes when I'm bored I'll go on to Genius and see what some people annotate about what they mean about the lyrics, but even then I get more bored kinda quickly.
