I fucking hate IDM artist, they brag about having hundreds of songs and they only release the shittiest songs.
I mean, listen to the ATP bootlegs of boc, they have a lot of unreleased cool songs, even they said in an interview that they have like 40 unreleased complete songs from the Geogaddi sessions, but they prefer releasing shitty downtuned guitar tunes and uninspired post-apocalyptic 'downtempo'.

I get what you're saying, but it's important to keep in mind that he did post hundreds of trax to soundcloud. The "newness" of these tunes is unknown-- some of them could have been lying in wait, completed 100%; some of them could have needed some looping / hobbling together / arrangement.

BoC isn't about beats, and it always makes me cringe when people start nodding their heads to it. I tip my fedora, etc. But seriously, beats were never the focal point of BoC... the beats are just presences of rhythm that prevail the song. What I'm saying is BoC's rhythm section is never supposed to be "UNHHH" "DAM SON" despite being boom-bappy.
Probably the only BoC beat that's deliberately nasty is the old tune Trapped, but even then, the synth becomes the focus as the tune loops on.

I've listened to the rest of their albums over 50 times each, probably over 100 times for MHTRTC. Tomorrow's Harvest is fucking shit, I say that after about 10 listens. Boring ass shit with no character and no psychedelia. Sounds like the soundtrack to a grade B sci fi movie. Just absolutely mundane.
