Randomly clicked a track to hear first after Numb, which I enjoyed, and fell on Oceanic. Fucccccck this is sweet. I love all the different parts, but the guitar(?) I fell in love with. It's clear you put a lot of effort into this. Beautiful work. Forever Forgotten is gorgeous tonally, and I love the pickup in the tempo as it builds.

I'm just starting to listen to this, but so far I get heavy Kayo Dot vibes from this, maybe early maudlin of the Well. I'm on the second track, and maybe this was on purpose, but the low rumbling that stays constant is somewhat grating; I feel you could still convey the slow, droning vibe while still making the track more complex and layered, more tonally evocative like the intro. Just a suggestion, and am continuing to listen to the rest right now.

This my Alternative R&B EP that I released about a month ago. I tried to create atmospheric and moody songs, with a dark vibe to them. People have seemed to enjoy them, tell me what you think!

Thank you very much for feedback. I haven't expected somebody would give so much attention to this.
>>55586750
No problem, man, I definitely gave it plenty of attention, just finished it. I wasn't crazy about the tracks that just had the rumbling throughout for the whole duration, but the rest I found very titillating. Maybe there's some conceptual aspect of the other two tracks I wasn't getting, but it seemed like you missed potential to make the rumbling tracks turn into something deeper, maybe darker. Stellar effort though, man, it works as an album, these are merely my opinions and suggestions.
>>55586567
Really glad you posted in this thread 'cause I wanted to finish your album from where I left off last night and seeing you here reminded me. Will return with further feedback, but from where I left off last night (Void I, I believe) I was in love already.

Like honestly this guy gets points from me for simply evoking a reaction that I didn't think was possible through music. Musically this is a lo-fi spaceghost purrpy shabazz palaces kind of feel. Hey this is pretty cool since it was mostly improvised. The synths you use are sick too what sort are they? 9 minutes is a bit long for my taste but from what I heard at times it was quite soothing
>>55586454
Damn your stuff sorta reminds me of OP's. I'm not sure why this sorta of music gets to me. It gives me the feeling of nostalgia but it's weird cause I haven't heard anything like this before. Great job, keep it up.
>>55586465
GOD DAMMNIT YOUR STUFF IS CATCHY AS FUCK STOP POSTING CUZ I ALWAYS GET UR SONGS STUCK IN MY HEAD. Rad stuff, love the production too
>>55586467
DAMN the first song reminded me of a Pink Floyd breakdown. Definitely feelin' Pink Floyd sorta reminds me of this other band that I can't quite put my finger on. Sick instrumental tunes though man, very rad.

>>55586608
SO JIZZ JAZZY, nah its rad man would've loved to hear some vocals on some of your tracks though. Really fucking dug the guitar tones
>>55586714
Great production man, highly professional! Not entirely my style of music but I can tell it's good.

from >>55586511
Yeah, I actually recorded my other two albums with click tracks, this one is just bare-bones, super raw recordings so sometimes the time is just a little off, it was semi-intentional to catch that raw, innawoods feeling, I guess.
Been following you ever since I heard Touch My Balls, I'm always a damn huge fan of your work, Eddy.

There are few of those. Microkorg, all bunch of created and modified synth modules on FL Studio and some old USSR synths that I've managed to scrap out from complete ruin. But mostly Microkorg + some shitty synths and ruined electronics

Oh that's rad, you truly do capture that innawoods feeling man. haha cheers man I appreciate it
>>55587420
Haha fuckin' USSR Synths dude? That's awesome. I really needa to make use of my synths, only got a Mininova and DX7 but they make some lovely sounds

>>55586467
Distant Place For Short Letters is fantastic, it reminds me of something but I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it might be reminiscent of 60's/70's production, what equipment did you record this on?
>>55586486
This is very good, nice moody music, your mixing is fantastic!
>>55586511
Quarry To My Conscience reminded me a tiny bit of Same Place by Circulatory System. In general, I like your approach to melody, the guitar's brilliant.
>>55586528
I really love the chord changes on Inngangur til Lífsins, makes me think of a cathedral that's empty except for some old organist practicing.
>>55586608
This is pretty good, do I hear some Dub influence in the production?
>>55586714
I like the vocal delays, but I'm not sure, is that a very quiet counterpoint I can hear in a backing vocal?
>>55587235
It's very interesting, your approach to putting stuff together, it's not for me personally but I can see the detail and effort you put in.
>>55587338
Those gentle synths towards the start are gorgeous, I'm not sure what this reminds me of, it might be the beginning of Teen Age Riot. Regardless, this track is fantastic, I'm interested in hearing the rest of it. Thanks for your feedback by the way!
And damn, most of my feedback seems identical to yours
>>55588023
The effects in that first track are fantastic, you seem to have a real talent for that side of things. The track itself as a whole is very good too, I like the dark approach.

I'm not Burn Ward, but I'd probably recommend only posting the link to Icongraphia that's from Burn Ward, and not both yours and theirs.
Re-releases and knowledge of location through exclusivity don't go hand in hand.

Nice. You've been channeling some interesting shit there.
>>55586465 This is great. Sounds great. Well written. Makes me smile. Fucking sick!
>>55586486 So well done. Love the colors and moods you manage to be able to weave between seamlessly. Awesome stuff.

I really dig the synths, dude. This feels a bit like William Basinski or maybe OPN's early work. 9/10, definitely downloaded.
>>55586454
I'm getting a very OPN vibe from the synths, and a big Autechre vibe from the drums (what with all the weird irregular patterns and such)
I dig it, keep on keeping on!
>>55591338
It's not quite my thing but I dig the noise. Keep doing what you're doing, maybe our paths will cross one day.
>>55592974
This sounds like music that I'll curl up in a fetal position to and cry on a summer night some year, post-breakup. It's perfect, if you make an album I'll definitely listen.
>>55595766
I dig what you're going for. Maybe add a little overdrive to the vocals to make em sound crisper. I'm not sure why but the vocals have kinda a "hollow" sound. It's hard to explain but it's basically the only really bad thing about this. Keep on making shit, though. You're a good songwriter.

thanks a ton for the feedback about the vocals! i was sort of going for that "hollow" sound since my favorite post-hardcore album ever (touche amore's debut) had that sort of sound so i tried to emulate it by putting my mic in the corner of a room and just yelling really loudly, but i guess i didn't capture it very well.
thanks a ton for the compliments on my songwriting, by the way!
Written, recorded and mastered by my friend and I, in my basement. Aside from the Hard--panned bass, anything?

Got a definite Doors-y vibe... I like it, although I felt the guitar overtook the keys a little on "Rough"
Love the vocal harmonies on Fly Away.
Kind of an 80's vibe all over the mixing, too.

Thanks a lot for the the comment! We're looking for feedback for the fully mastered "Tango" LP! c:

Samples from old radio stations, number stations and other sources with similar aesthetics.
>>55604301
Well, its cute and kinda catchy, but the cheesy production and vocals kinda ruin it.
>>55603898
Its a compilation so I cant say much criticism wise, but i highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of ambient.

Recommending you again.

Gorgeous and amazingly produced. I dont usually like this style of ambient, but this is geat.
>>55599542
Really weird effects and the slight off key feel is great. Favorite track is Cosine B
