I like Midori, but I find the piano can be a bit annoying occasionally, and Mariko pushes flat a lot of the time.
Got anything which has more jazz influence (eg James Chance and the Contortions without the post-punk drums) and a better (preferably female) vocalist?

I love both those bands, but I doubt that's what OP is looking for. John Zorn's stuff is more jazz-grindcore than jazz-punk.

OP, I reccomend this album NEVER WEAR OUT YOUR SUMMER XXX!!! It's not quite the same as Midori, but it IS probably the closest music has come to reaching Post-Avant Jazzcore, and its from Japan. Also, despite the stupid album title and cover, it's is one of my favorite albums of all time.
