for a type of music that's so simple, it's funny how much you seem to misunderstand it.
it's catchy music that compared to most of the other catchy music being made atm is actually interesting. the chipmunk vocals might be a cheap trick, but it sounds good once you accept it and it's funny and weird. i genuinely enjoy this music, and not "ironically".

Sure some of it may be goofy in an ironic kind of way but, all the artists on PC music take their work very seriously and truly try and express themselves through their work. I like PC Music (almost) without any sort of detours such as irony or satire or parody. The only borderline ironic part is some of their presentation and even that is relatively ambiguous, at least when they do it well.
And at the same time I strongly dislike that sort of mainstream pop to which PC music is very similar but in another way also very different from. I guess the principle of differentiation is musical quality. Other than that its value comes down to your appreciation of the tracks. Some of the songs really sound like a school project with pointless exercises of melody and lyrics that are probably used solely because they rhyme. But there are other songs that aren't quite so weak in these areas, which incorporate some talent and coherency as well. For example, I really like Every Night by Hannah Diamond.
