Watched Lain for the first time a couple of weeks ago, the intro is absolutely beautiful. I never even once considered skipping the intro while watching the later episodes, which isn't the case with other TV shows I've watched.

It is an Eva ripoff. But that doesn't matter. Unfortunately its characters are boring and its pacing is all over the place, and it kind of gradually disappears up its own asshole as it goes on. But it does have a very interesting aesthetic, and the early episodes are great.
I wouldn't recommend it, but you could do worse.

The first episode is nothing like most of the anime. Episodes 2-16 are entirely backstory, which is the best part of the whole thing. The anime also completely changed the ending into something magnificent, so there's that too.
The only problems are the first episode, and the stuff inbetween the backstory and the anime-original ending.

BoA is actually a pretty solid band in general. The Race of a Thousand Camels and Get There were both really good albums if you ask me. Sometimes the singer vocalizes in an odd way though and I can't always vibe with it.

Yeah Race of a Thousand Camels is definitely a solid album. a few duds but definitely a good album, I particularly liked Drinking and Rain.
