I didn't expect it, precisely because Jon is the way he is, but that's definitely a quality album, and probably the best of the late-70s Yes solo albums. I have it on vinyl and the album art is amazing, such a rich release... and to think this was made by the guy everyone supposedly hates for having a "weird" voice. That band was overflowing with talent.

"Baby Face" Willette plays the organ with gospel influences which are interesting but with a different saxophonist Face To Face might have been just another organ Jazz album. Tenor saxophonist Fred Jackson is scintillating. He makes the album worth re-visiting, bringing out the edge in the other musicians. His sound is tailor-made for Soul-Jazz.
