>Showing a hip hop fan anything that isn't electronically made or produced.
>"Someone should sample this."
>>54849602
>and make ebin tough guy rhymes about bling and your homies
at least they're enjoying it
>>54849602
Fuck man I know so many people like this. I feel like kids are only listening to jazz and shit these days just to find samples
>>54849638
Why can't they enjoy it without wanting to chop it up and ruin it? Its like when serial killers see little animals and want to mutilate them.
>otherwise unbearably white and scrawny white kid begins to talk as if he's a hoodrat when talking about hip-hop
>>54849723
Whenever you see someone type the words "bangs in the whip" on here, this is what's happening.
>>54849756
What does that even mean?
>>54849723
>>54849773
It makes you look cool in a car when it's played loud
>>54849708
Except the original piece of music still exists after it's sampled, so your metaphor is shit.
>>54849723
>Unbearably white
Here we go
>>54849756
isn't it 'bumps in the whip'?
>>54849708
>Its like when serial killers see little animals and want to mutilate them
That's the best analogy for this. Well done, anon.
>>54849788
fuk u h8r
>hip hop fan shows off his collection
>mfw all his music is comprised of single-tempo, allegro, 4/4, repetitive kick-snare type patterns and virtually no original instrumentation or composition
>>54849602
Also: vaporwave fans.

We live in the post-sampling era, we take the things we love and we build on them. That's just how it goes, and when we really add something significant and original and we merge our musical journey with this, then we have a chance to be a part of the evolution of the music that we love and be linked to it once it becomes something new again.
>>54849832
>allegro
you fucked up
>>54849723
you took this from me when I posted the dolphin sex thread on new year ish 2013 into 2014
>>54849881
that's not something you want to be known for.
>>54849832
>Mfw hip hop fan doesn't know what any of that means.
>>54849881
you mean this one?
>meme hopper plays me his favorite track
>memerap track starts
>producer screaming his name in my ears
>rap man tells me I'm not ready for this one
>rap man reminds me what album I'm listening to
>rap man reminds me which year said album was recorded in
>rap man reminds me where he is in the "rap game" (at the top, of course)
>rap man tells me his name, moniker, "rap name", or all three
>rap man tells me he's "going in" before starting a verse
>rap man tells me how much money he has
>rap man says "uh... yeah"
>rap man name drops a bunch of clothing lines and automobile companies
>>54849913
>rap man reminds me in which year said album was recorded in
Every fucking time
>>54849913
he's really Rocking that fanny pack.
>>54849832
>pic unrelated
Voila is in 6/4
big house is in 3/4 and they have a lot in 7/4
>>54849959
Oh, and no love switches between 7/8 and 9/8
If you actually gave them a chance you would know this.
>>54849844
I can´t believe you were able to pile up so much shit in so few words.
>sampling
>building on
pick one, faggot.
Rap is the subculture of musical destruction. Only a handful of rappers/hiphoppers are mildly original.
Friendly reminder that this sampling heresy started with Can´t touch this and Ice ice baby.
>mfw
>>54849913
so much this
>>54850285
it's from a TED talk, anon. http://stoneyroads.com/2014/05/mark-ronson-we-live-in-the-post-sampling-era

GOAT pasta
>>54849913
This is hilariously accurate..
>>54849913

copying this for future use
>>54849913
Now this is fucking bang on correct
>>54849913
is this old pasta or original ?
>>54850463
maybe a few of them.
>>54850490
It evolved over time
>>54850379
I don´t care if the Pope or Carl Sagan said it. Sampling in particular steals other´s people work and capitalizes on it. It lacks originality and it´s just plain legitimized plagiarism. There is no need to know anything about music theory o put some samples together. And the repetition makes the rhythm, so, no effort there, either. What´s better, if they can´t match the beats, it becomes an odd meter!! Fuck that. That´s not music. It´s just auditive niggerism.
>>54849602
>"Someone should sample this."
You what i've noticed......raptards constantly jumping from video to video begging songriters to use their music on youtube.
>hey man hope you don't mind if I use you track on this beat i'm making
Then if the songwriter posts "no", they are made to look like an asshole.
What's worse is the ones who just steal the fucking song to put their shitty rap over and never say a word.
MAKES ME SO FUCKING MAD
>>54850463
If you translate hip hop to visual art, it's as if no one paints anymore, but just takes pictures of existing paintings and cuts and pastes them.
>>54850640
>just steal the fucking song to put their shitty rap over and never say a word.
10/10 PRODUCTION HIP HOP ARTIST OF THE YEAR GIVE HIM 10 MILLION $$$
>>54850666
so hip hop is dada?
>>54850463
just being honest
>>54850640
>What's worse is the ones who just steal the fucking song to put their shitty rap over and never say a word.
Timbaland made a career out of this, stealing pop songs from artists in fucking India and Thailand and shit. He got caught out in the end though.
>>54850709
more like a collage you made when you were 12
