It's been over a month since I finished my first playthrough of Super Metroid, and that song still pops up in my head almost daily. I'm sure that song's use in the Metroid Prime series also plays a significant factor.

Also, regardless of which songs are re-used from which game, Metroid Prime is a series with lots of great music. I haven't even played much of 3, but 1&2 are enough for me to make that statement without even trying to kid myself. The songs don't always stand great on their own, but they do a fantastic job at setting the tone for each and every part of the game. I can't think of a single instance in which the song didn't fit the setting.
