ITT: The greatest synthpop albums of the last ten years.
Moment Bends by Architecture in Helsinki is the shit.
also i think i preferred chromatics over hurry up
that's m83's worst, by far
My Crappy Yeezus by Girls With Depression was really super, super different, super synthpop.

>that's m83's worst, by far
Why are /mu/ contrarians so fucking obnoxious?
>>54631573
>>54631522
I thought what made Hurry Up, We're Dreaming so awesome was how cohesive it was as an album. It was well-paced with a balance between pop songs and dreamy songs in between those songs. It gave the album a great sense of location, like you were actually in a place.

Just include reasons when you bash something. It makes the discussion way more interesting that way.

Based on my experience with other contrarian faggots, i have very little doubt that if HUWD wasn't popular, you would not be saying that it's "by far their worst album."
>>54631785
i think it's a boring album with a few good tracks. just because it's long doesn't make it 'good and cohesive'. you want a great cohesive m83 album try listening to before the dawn
Did anybody else like Feel it Break by Austra? I thought that was fucking awesome.
>>54631870
I've listened to all of their albums. HUWD isn't my favorite, but to claim it's "by far" anything is just contrarian nonsense that you're making up because the album is popular.
GOAT incoming

This is almost ten years old but damn if it doesn't deserve to be remembered longer.
Low-Life by New Order is amazing IMO.. The Perfect Kiss is as good as the 80-ish synth madness can go I think. Yeah, Bernard Sumner's singing is pretty awful but the songs are just so awesome to dance to

only non-pleb post itt
also this

I loved it at first, but it had a very short "listening lifespan" and the same happened to all my friends who like them. I got tired from the sound. But I still rec it to people who like synth pop.
also one of my favourites. I know people will hate cause she´s gotten way to SJWy, but I don´t care. W is a really enjoyable album.

Recent synthpop, dudes. Synthpop has been doing things since the '80s. The classics of the '80s are thoroughly covered but the genre hasn't just gone away since then.
>>54631522
This is just 10 years old
By the kings of synthpop
>>54634200
It's solid but is it really better than they ever were before? Since their second album? Depeche Mode peaked with Construction Time Again and haven't come close to innovating since then.
Anything by The Knife.
