ITT: Albums that were ahead of their time

Apart from all the nu disco albums that came before it, right?

Or Jamiroquai, who had been doing it for a decade.

How. Really, how?
It's generic as fuck, not even Panda Bear could save this with the masterpiece that was doing it right

I can deny it
I did it in my initial post
the one where I pointed out that their most celebrated album was bullshit

To be honest, i have heavy bias, But i'm in /mu/ so i should just shut my trap. I would also said Doggystyle was ahead of its time, also The Chronic. Maybe?
Discovery is my fav album.
I do listen to a lot of albums from the 00s and 2010s Though. its just that my favs are from the late 80s and 90s. Like De La Soul.
>>
>>54364728
This.
That album pretty much set the bar for early to mid 00's hip-hop.

you're really not fucking getting this are you
you can't claim to be stuck in the past
if all the music you listen to
was written in the last 40 years
are you familiar with the name beethoven?
>>
>>54365236
Oh wait, yes i do. but why are you bringing him up?
>>
>>54365250
>>54365273
well let's start
only being familiar with artists from the USA (and one artist from France who samples music from USA and works with producers from USA) post 1980 is indicative of a complete lack of knowledge regarding music as a whole
I'm bringing Beethoven simply as an example of someone not from your seemingly pathetic sphere of awareness

Ho the fuck is re-hashed 70s music with modern production ahead of ANYTHING.

I lost all respect for these guys when I saw the vids that exposed them on youtube. They literally copy-pasted all of the riffs on their hit songs......they also stole an entire "hit" note for note from some obscure youtuber.

Even "Get Lucky" is stolen from the pre chorus of Michael Jackson's "Say Say Say" from fucking 1983 !!!!
>>
>>54365668

you should kill daft punk then
