Hows the game?
Hotline Miami and Metal Gear Rising are my top 2 favourite games of all the time as well as having my favourite soundtrack.

The story has improved
The gameplay, on the other hand, is much
worse now
There are no noticeable changes in the engine, but there are MUCH MORE bugs now
I mean, bosses fall out of bounds, enemies get stuck in walls etc
Wait for a patch and then play it, that's my advice

How is the story improved, is it easier to follow, has more narrative? I loved how ambiguous and undefined the story of the first game is.
I think I'll wait for the summer or winter sale. Can't justify paying full price for any game these days.

Basically this, the story is now told from perspectives of different characters and show different time frames, which is pretty cool
About the soundtrack: it's good but forgettable, the first game had more catchy tracks
Not saying it's bad, there are still many decent tracks

it's good, it focuses more on the story and the difficulty kind of picks up from where the original game ended so expect more gunplay, dogs and windows.

sadly yeah, most of the levels feel like giant stadiums so if you're using melee you'll have to bait people around corners otherwise you'll probably get sniped by an enemy off screen

Well have fun. The only melee weapons in most of the game are the knife and pipe/bat. The game is also longer and the majority of it almost requires guns.

bought it yesterday. the game is actually pretty bomb. tons of replay-ability. if you liked the first one you will love the second one. go get it, the soundtrack is fire too
Blizzard is great. Game is good, too but so many wide angles to be killed.

Is there other games similar to Hotline Miami? I understand that it's not the only top-down shooter out there, but there's not that many games that as the same aesthetic

word, I played the first mission and doesn't matter how many time i was killed it was fun throwing the melee weapons and clearing the stage, fun shit and cool soundtrack and interesting story for the little I've seen.
