Ever since I've watched Apocalypse Now I can't help but think of midnight in the jungle everytime I hear it.
Good suggestion though, really suited for nighttime driving out in the wilderness.
Personally, I'd suggest anything from Meat Puppets II or some Ennio Morricone scores from those old spaghetti western films.
I prefer audio books for desert driving, the Game of Thrones series is a good one.
The whole album ...Like Clockwork is great for listening through the desert.
