How big is the quality difference between the Fantano AKG K 240s and the ATH-M50s? The difference in price is almost double so im wondering if the ATHs are proportionately priced/worth it. Help me out, /mu/.

price =/= quality
akg k240s are open/semi open headphones, while M50s are closed back. as a result the k240s will have better instrument separation than the k240s and be more balanced overall. the M50s are a little emphasized in the bass end of things. i would recommend the k240s if you listen to music with instruments, and the M50s if you listen to mainly electronic/rap/hiphop/pop.
but either way they are both pretty good headphones in which you cant go wrong either way.
