Hi /mu/. I'm trying to think of the most obscure possible media format to release my hip avant-garde 2deep4u music on. I've already excluded digital, cd, cassette, 8 track, 4 track, vinyl, minidisc, 3.5" floppy discs, and laser discs as too mainstream. I'm thinking about releasing it on BetaMax tapes or maybe 5 1/4" floppy discs or zip disks.
Can you think of any media formats that are more obscure and less mainstream/ relevant in 2015?

3/4" U-Matic tape bro. And before you get all concerned about not being able to make it, this was the first digital mastering format to hold the DDP image for early CD creation. Most large mastering facilities can still master to DDP on U-Matic tape. You may find it difficult to find customers who can play it back but if they aren't hip to U-Matic fuckem, I always says.
