like blawan, clouds, SHXCXCHCXSH etc

or early 80-90s detroit, or berlin

you guys listening to this?

damn I've been listening to some sad sappy music my entire life, now I'm more and more into electronic and techno music, and I just love this crazy energy,

Ay it's pretty bangin'.

Like >>52174593 said, /bleep/ threads discuss it a lot, but they also do have a lot of shitposting and I see no reason why we can't have a separate techno thread.

This is one of my fav releases this year:

specific genre generals aren't prone to long lifespans. one of the reasons /bleep/ came about in the first place

also check out jared wilson - ghostminers

>>52174845
that's a neat tune and all but you're not allowed to call it techno if the techno portion doesn't start until the last 30 seconds of the track

>>52174885
scanning through ghostminers stuff, rather nice. first tune is pretty cool but dont care for it from a techno standpoint. second one i had to put on pause near the end to double check i didn't have another video open somewhere. the 1xx2xx3xx4xx5xxx pattern is tricky to get right

you know, your fav producer, whoever that is, would probably hate to have his music pigeon-holed into a single genre and he also would call you a gigantic faggot for thinking this way
>>
>>52175219
>fav producer
im about the sound not who happened to make it, and if your sound aint part of the sound then it aint part of the sound. that simple

That's pretty nice. I also recently discovered this tune from last year. So squelchy, I love it.

Give it a couple of mins to get into it.

is this techno?
could you post something similar?
also, since I don't know anytrhing about techno, could you post some of the most well known tracks?

I used to be quite naive in my opinion of techno, mostly from just experiencing the surface level techno that gets played in clubs etc. More recently I started getting into the more underground stuff, which has a far greater level of production imo.

Techno just paints a desolate picture of our late-capitalist society.

Well that's the way I interpret the music, it's hard for me to explain as I'm not particularly articulate.

I guess it's just the drone-like nature of it. Feels very industrial and machine like. The way our lives in the west are so plastic and reproduced. The constant strive for 'happiness'. The brutal realism of modern society.

why is function and efficiency such a desolate quality you think?
