Quality is entirely subjective and gets thrown out right from the get go, such as how I personally prefer Nero's Day at Disneyland over RDJ marking off that category. Next I'll restate my argument against notoriety, there are plenty of electronic artists who are more well known than RDJ, IE; Justice, Daft Punk, Skrillex, etc. Finally as for how influential he is, outside of the "IDM" or breakcore scene it's difficult to say he had more influence than someone like Tristam Cary or Giorgio Moroder and his contemporaries. Simply being well known to most hipsters doesn't automatically mean he single handedly revolutionized electronic music.
