Similar to hobocore, it's a bunch of poor bastards (exclusively in non-'European' countries) making music using tropical fruits, makeshift acoustic instruments, homemade percussion, and shitty electric guitars and drum machines. Usually reggae or freak-folk or some shit with tribal rhythms and lo-fi recording. Very tropical sounding.
