What is the biggest country that is also the most devoid of talent?

My vote goes for Ukraine. save for some metal I haven't seen them produce anything worthwhile.

Russia obviously, save for classical music from ages ago I haven't seen them produce anything of actual worth ever since then. Ukraine comes a close second.

Germany, as for post war.

Their new wave and post-punk underground was at it's finest back in the 80s. Arguably the biggest cassette culture was going on in Germany at that time.

They made afrobeat which was quite influential in several scenes all over the world, this board loves Fela Kuti and Remain in Light so there it is.

Australia has so many good bands what are you even saying.

and yes you can include third world countries as countries. Just because they've never released a /mu/core album doesnt mean they don't have a music scene going on. Even fucking african tribes have music ffs.

I wonder if mu actually knows there's music out there that isnt in album and albums that aren't reviewed by p4k

Possibly Algeria (chaabi gets old very quickly), Mongolia (b-but muh throat singing makes up for the fact that the country has next to zero cultural value after it got soviet'd), Iran (culturally dead since Persia stopped being a thing) or Kazakhstan.
>>

adding SPK and Severed Heads to this on the punk/industrial tip. Straya has a fine catalogue, although they do lose points now that I remember the Bee Gees are from there.

Yeah, no. I'm Canadian. But as a country it falls pretty flat. Plus, most of it tries too hard to be American. There isn't enough of a music culture here and that is one of the very few things I'm disappointed in about this country. Sure, there's plenty of good bands but half of those I only know about because they get pushed on Canadian programming to meet the quota. That doesn't really count.
