Do you like Vektroid? Her early work was a little too electro for my tastes, but when 札幌コンテンポラリーcame out in 2012, I think she really came into her own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consumerist conceptualism that really gives the songs a big boost. She's been compared to James Ferraro, but I think Vektroid has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In 2012, Vektroid, under the alias "Macintosh Plus" released this, Floral Shoppe her most accomplished album. I think her undisputed masterpiece is "リサフランク420 / 現代のコンピュー", a song so corny, most people probably don't listen to the music. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of capitalism, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about society itself.
