I found an old Genesis live concert bootleg 12'' LP in a box of old records the other day. It's in mint condition. Oddly, the label said "Gene Chandler - I Can Take Care of Myself (disc jockey advance copy)"

I have absolutely no idea how rare it is but I couldn't find any information on Genesis bootlegs. It seemed kind of unusual.

Collectors love weird fuck ups like this, you'd be really surprised at the amounts people fork out for even the smallest mistakes. A mistake like an entirely different album appearing on one side of a record is not unheard of but a rarity, so there are probably 10 or more copies like it before they figured out they fucked up.

One example would be The Smiths Hatful Of Hollow where the tracklisting had a missing dot between tracks, it fetches a ridiculous amount just for that one little thing.

Um.. Caddywhompus lathe cut of The Weight, one out of 35? I've been offered here and there on Discogs for it so it's somewhat in demand. Apart from that, most VALUABLE things are stupid shit like the Perfect Pussy 'blood' box set, Exmilitary, I dunno... the Books boxset? Nothing super crazy rare.

I have an Exmilitary tape too, and a YYU timetimetime&time tape, uh.. Evenings - Lately? A couple /25 tapes like Nouns - Still Bummed. I'm supposed to have a White Coyote S/T tape coming that's out of 9

I dunno, I feel like I'm coming up short. I don't do a lot of vintage

Hey I like a couple of their albums, it's high school shit that never went away. Like Circa Survive and shit. That Bleed American thing was a triple colored LP deal that became kinda sought after. They just re-release Futures and some older stuff too so I had to cop those too.

Would It Kill You? on white with bonus 7" (took me a while to find for less than like 45 bucks) and Everything Is Debatable on bone
Honestly if that avocado EP was pressed I'd buy that too even though it's pretty bad

Trying to think of other lame things.. a Limp Bizkit tape, Midtown... not much else. Death Cab counts right? Oh I have Disturbed's The Sickness on tape, very proud of that.System of a Down S/T on tape too, actually kinda rare from what I've heard.

I have this album, by The Invaders, a local college band from the 60's that were apparently popular enough to get re-released on CD 30 years later. Found it at a thrift store, bought it because I liked the name, didn't end up liking the music much. It seems to be considered fairly rare, though. Been considering selling it, as they go for about $200 on ebay.

I got the Sissy Spacek from Banjoman on here, the first and only /mu/ transaction I've made. A real shame too, I bet some /mu/tants have some cool shit for sale. Selling over /mu/ is just too risky I guess.

I have no idea why, but this album goes for obscene prices on discogs and ebay. It's one of Waylon Jennings last albums. I think he recorded most of the songs with his son. I picked it up at a record store for 15 bucks and found out people were selling it online for up to 300. Good day at the record store. Next valuable is probably the clothbound pressing of Joy Division's Still and then a first pressing of Hootenanny by the Replacements.

I have a cassette from Pearl-Jam that is an introduction to them as a band, it also has the entire dutch tour from 92' on the back. It has a spoken word introduction an the A side, and 2 songs on the B side.

Apparently it was an exclusive promo item

Picture disc, limited edition of 500 pressings. Bought it directly from Profound Lore (it was relatively cheap), and when it was taking too long to arrive, I sent them an email, they told me it was literally the last copy they had. Fortunately it was delivered eventually, that was a stroke of luck.
